Enchanted Forest of Light – Walkthrough and Discussion

Join us for an engaging evening featuring the 2024 Experiential Lighting Design Award of Excellence project, Descanso Gardens’ Enchanted Forest of Light 2024, presented by Lightswitch with Chris Medvitz.

The program will begin with a cocktail hour, including lite bites and conversation, followed by a guided tour of the 2025 installation. This exclusive event takes place before Enchanted opens to the general public, offering a unique behind-the-scenes experience.

Please note that portions of the installation may still be in progress during our visit, and we are honored to be guests of Descanso Gardens for this special preview.

This Event beings promptly at 5:30.  Descanso Gardens includes paved and unpaved trails.

Chris Medvitz

Chris Medvitz is a multidisciplinary visual designer with over 30 years of experience spanning live entertainment, immersive experiences, events, broadcasts, and branded environments. As a Principal at Lightswitch since 2004, he has led high-profile projects for global clients including Microsoft, Nissan, Subaru, Nintendo, Electronic Arts, and Intel, while also creating acclaimed immersive works such as Enchanted Forest of Light at Descanso Gardens and public art installations for the City of Beverly Hills, Hybycozo, and Sensorio.

His live entertainment credits include tours and residencies for Beck, Lionel Richie, John Fogerty, Barry Manilow, Paula Abdul, Miley Cyrus, and Diana Ross, alongside televised specials such as Premier Boxing Champions and the JCPenney Jam. Known for integrating lighting, media, and production design into compelling visual storytelling, Chris partners with artists, brands, agencies, and cultural institutions to bring bold ideas to life — creatively ambitious, strategically practical, and always built for the real world.
