Program & Event Sponsorship

Dear Lighting Enthusiast,

Los Angeles is an internationally recognized leader in the lighting specification world. The impact our community has is tremendous and should be taken seriously. IESLA's primary focus is to provide a platform for education, inspiration, discussion, and experimentation of both the science and art of Lighting. The IESLA community is vast, including architects, engineers, designers, manufacturers, agents, educators, and students, making us one of the most significant sections in the Society.

We rely on our sponsors' generous financial support to help us grow and improve our community through our monthly programs and events. These include:

The Russell Cole Student Lighting Design Competition was established to encourage and recognize students in Southern California who have shown an understanding of light and its effect on architecture. In the last decade, IESLA has awarded more than $140,000 to more than 35 students.

The Saul M. Goldin Internship at the California Lighting Technology Center at the University of California at Davis. This 8-week program is unique among architectural lighting design internships as it allows the winner to work alongside some of California's top engineers and research teams.

IESLA's Fundamentals of Lighting is a 10-module course that provides an in-depth introduction to lighting. This course is a must for those serious about their career in lighting. It is ideal for Electrical Contractors, Electrical Distributors, Architects, Electrical Engineers, Lighting Designers, Lighting Agency and Manufacturer employees. The Fundamentals of Lighting is approved for 2 IESNA CEUs, 20 USGBC CE hours, 2 AIA LUs with Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) credit, and 20 pdhs.

The Emerging Professional Mentorship Series gives our newest members an insight into the design process and philosophies of local lighting firms. Delivered by leaders in the respective firms, it also offers EP's a chance to meet and ask questions from industry leaders.

(4-6 events a year)

IESLA's TechFAST Series combines information on code changes and technology advancements. These 45-minute virtual events occur at 8:00 am, allowing participants to learn what is new while enjoying their breakfast from home.

(4-6 events a year)

IESLA's Evening Events cover an extensive range of events, from panel discussions, study groups, social engagements to tours of the latest and greatest lighting projects in Southern California.

(6-8 events a year)

The IESLA Golf Cassic has been held every fall for more than 25 years. It is a relaxed and playful way for our community to come together, have some fun, and enjoy Southern California.

The Wally Whitney Product Fair provides an arena for more than 120 Lighting technology manufacturers and their Agencies to share the latest LED technology and lighting fixture design. The Product Fair is our most significant event of the year and provides the funding for our Student Design Competition and Internship Program.

IESLA's programs reflect our commitment to educate and inspire current and future lighting professionals. Please help us continue these programs and the benefits they provide our community by becoming a yearly sponsor. IESLA is offering Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Studio Sponsorships.
