IESLA's primary focus is to provide a platform for education. We rely on our sponsors' generous financial support to help us grow and improve our community through our monthly programs & events.
These include:
The Russell Cole Student Lighting Design Competition was established to encourage and recognize students in Southern California who have shown an understanding of light and its effect on architecture.
IESLA's Fundamentals of Lighting is a 10-module course that provides an in-depth introduction to lighting and is approved for 2 IESNA CEUs, 20 USGBC CE hours, 2 AIA LUs with Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) credits, and 20 pdhs.
The Emerging Professional Mentorship Series gives our newest members an insight into the design process and philosophies of local lighting firms.
IESLA's TechFAST Series combines information on code changes and technology advancements. These 45-minute virtual events occur at 8:00 am.
IESLA's Evening Events cover an extensive range of events, from panel discussions, study groups, and social engagements to tours of the latest and greatest lighting projects in Southern California.
The IESLA Golf Cassic has been held every fall for over 25 years.
The Wally Whitney Product Fair provides an arena for more than 150 Lighting technology manufacturers and their Agencies to share the latest in technology and lighting fixture design.
IESLA's programs reflect our commitment to educating and inspiring current and future lighting professionals. Please help us continue these programs and the benefits they provide our community by becoming a yearly sponsor. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
