COURSE OVERVIEW:
This seven-week in-person course provides participants with an introduction to the fundamentals of illumination. It gives a comprehensive overview of basic lighting principles, lamp, and luminaire types, lighting calculations, controls, and functional and aesthetic applications best practices. This course is ideal for architects, engineers, designers, contractors, sales reps, customer service reps, manufacturers, distributors, and students. Find full descriptions for each module below.
FORMAT:
Each evening will last approximately 3 hours of instruction, covering roughly 1 ½ Modules per session.

Module 2:– Electric Light Sources and Auxiliary Devices
Module 3:– Daylighting
Module 4:– Luminaires
Module 5:– Controls
Module 6:– Photometry, Metrics & Computer Calculations
Module 7:– Codes & Standards, Economics
Module 8:– Lighting Design Process and Techniques, Sustainability & Commissioning Module 9:– Lighting for Interiors
Module 10:– Lighting for Exteriors
CEUS:
25 CEUs, 25 LU-HSW approved based on course completion (does not qualify for NCQLP CEUs)
