Due to the COVID-19 situation, this event has been postponed. Our priority is not only the education of lighting professionals but to the health and well being of all our associates.

Lighting a Galaxy Far, Far Away....Overview of the recently-opened Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and how the lighting design for such a complex project makes it from concept to installation.

Exploration of how lighting choices set the mood and immerse guests in the land.

Discussion of the one-of-a-kind, custom fixtures designed and fabricated for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and how they are used alongside specification-grade fixtures to create a seamless finish to the land.

Noah HollidayNoah Holliday is a Glendale-based Show Lighting Designer for Walt Disney Imagineering. During his past five years with the Walt Disney Company, Noah has worked on projects for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products domestically as well as in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and France. Most recently, Noah completed the design and installation of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland and Walt Disney Resorts. Designed and built concurrently at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, FL, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a completely immersive Star Wars experience. In addition to his project work, Noah is developing and integrating new BIM workflows for Show Lighting Design. Noah graduated with a BA in Theater for the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
